Wired UART + Bluetooth Low Energy
The full JK-BMS lineup — any model running BMS software version 6.0 or newer. See tested/reported models below.
Wired UART (classic 0xA5 protocol) + Bluetooth (D2/Modbus protocol)
Covers the common 0xA5 UART family and the D2/Modbus BLE family (H/K/M/S series). Doesn't cover the separate "P81" Bluetooth variant some units use instead. The BLE family needs a Bluetooth-capable gateway — not the ESP8266 or ESP32-S2 hardware targets — but the 0xA5 UART family works on every gateway.
Wired UART + Bluetooth
UART and Bluetooth use the same frame format. Doesn't cover the password-authenticated subset of Bluetooth units. Bluetooth needs a Bluetooth-capable gateway — not the ESP8266 or ESP32-S2 hardware targets — but UART works on every gateway.
Bluetooth only
Covers the 1101-SPxx/ZH/MZ family, not the separate V3/EMU10xx protocol. No wired UART option yet. Shares its Bluetooth signal type with JBD, so set an explicit address if you have both nearby. Needs a Bluetooth-capable gateway — not the ESP8266 or ESP32-S2 hardware targets, see gateway hardware compatibility.
JK BMS Remote supports the full JK-BMS lineup — any model running BMS software version 6.0 or newer works over either connection method below. The protocol is identical across the whole family, so compatibility isn't per-model guesswork. You can check your BMS software version from JK's own Bluetooth app.
Connects to the TTL UART port most JK-BMS units expose (115200 baud, no BMS app password required). Works with every JK-BMS running BMS software version 6.0 or newer.
For packs without a free UART port. Auto-detects the 24-cell or 32-cell frame layout from your BMS's hardware version, so nothing needs to be configured by hand either way.
We can't hardware-test every commercial SKU ourselves — these are the specific units our own testing has covered so far, shown with an honest status rather than a blanket "verified" label.
